I’m looking at the calendar and realizing it’s only two short days until the official launch of my new eBook, “The Introvert’s Guide to Success in Business and Leadership,” and I’m simply giddy with anticipation. Why so giddy?
1. I’ve never done anything like launch a book before, and taking on new challenges is always very exciting for me.
2. In the process of preparing for the launch I’ve reached out to a number of friends for support, and their encouragement has been truly uplifting and has meant the world to me.
3. Mostly, I’m giddy because I want this eBook to be out in the world encouraging introverts to be more of who they are meant to be. I want introverts to give themselves permission to be more successful than they ever thought possible, and to find – and unleash – the power in their inner strengths!
Please join me Sunday evening at 9:00 pm Eastern Time for #Blogchat on Twitter for the official launch of the eBook! Mack Collier will have all the details this weekend on his blog. There will be some exciting giveaways and special discounts for launch party attendees.
If you can’t make it to #Blogchat, please sign up for my newsletter to get a special discount code for the launch on Monday. (See the right-hand column, enter your email address & hit SUBMIT!)
Finally, if you’d really like to read the eBook this weekend and just don’t want to wait for the official launch, it’s available now for purchase at Amazon for Kindle. I hope you’ll find it valuable and actionable! If you do, I would be honored by your “Likes” and customer reviews on the eBook’s page on Amazon…thank you, in advance, from the bottom of my heart.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend and I hope to see all of you Sunday evening!

Lisa I’m so excited about the launch of The Introvert’s Guide to Success in Business and Leadership, and that you’ll be co-hosting #Blogchat tomorrow night talking about how introverts can use blogging to boost our careers! I can’t wait!
Mack,
Thank you so much for your amazing support and for the opportunity to co-host #Blogchat with you – it truly means the world to me! I can’t wait either! See you tonight… 🙂
Hi Lisa,
I rec’d Mack Collier’s email about the blog chat as well as the eBook. I just purchased & read it. It’s a pretty quick read and helps to clarify how to tell people you’re not indecisive or slow about decision making, you just need more time to process the information. Thank you, I see myself there.
You’re welcome and yes, that is a very critical point. Once I realized this and helped others to realize this, I felt so much more empowered. Thanks, Lynn!
As an INTJ, I have really struggled with interviews. The problems is I over prepare and get caught up with the details in my head. Basically, I get really nervous and can’t communicate in a fluent manner. Believe me, I have paid the price financially and socially for my mistakes.
The trick for me has been doing minimal or no preparation for the interview (depending on the job, of course). You should already know what your skills are, past work experience etc. Preparation involves research company, reviewing your skills etc. I have found by creating rapport with the panel in the interview naturally enables the information in my head to flow out. This does not come easily. I try and think of communicating from my body with emotion, not from my head.
One activity that has helped is talking in front of a video camera. I just talk about what happened during the day and convey emotion. I know Feeling is not emotions, but I have noticed under pressure I fall back on my Thinking, which ‘drains’ my Feeling and therefore ability to empathize and relate with others socially etc. Watching it back enables you to critique yourself, apply the feedback and improve the next day. The problem is no one around is likely to provide you with honest feed back. INTJs need this feedback because they find it difficult to know what the facts really are. Just doing interviews helps. It gives you experience and you grow from it.
I say this because I won a job the first time I decided not to prepare at all for the interview. However, I had been doing the ‘talking in front of the camera’ exercise for a year. I still need to improve and I expect this method would not be suitable for all types.
Regards,
Jon.
Jon,
Thank you so much for sharing this very personal experience here with the readers. I think I’d distill what you said down to “not overthinking it so that you can allow your true self to come through.” You certainly want your true self to come through because that’s who you want them to hire! I love that you worked so long and hard in front of the camera and that it paid off for you! Congrats!
Thanks for the great info and support at #Blogchat – us introverted Wildcats must stick together … for a little while, then go back to our separate cozy dens and be productive!
Thank you for being there, Georganna! And yes, we must stick together…but in small packs. 🙂 All the best and thank you for your support!
Hi Lisa,
I found your blog and book by way of Margie Clayman. Fellow introvert here, so I really look forward to digging through your posts AND checking out your book. Congratulations. Must be exciting.
I really appreciate that, Craig – thank you! Margie is a dear friend and I’m honored that you’ve found me through her. I hope you’ll find the eBook to be exceptionally valuable to you as an introvert! All the very best to you…
