About LISA

Fortune 500 operator. Founder of True Self™ Leadership.

Lisa Petrilli has led inside the boardroom and done the work beneath it.
She brings both to every leader she advises.

I know this world because I led in it.

For decades, I lived the career most leaders are told to want. I held full P&L responsibility for a $750 million business unit. I spoke at the United Nations in Geneva. I earned the credentials and the recognition that the corporate world offers.

I also lived the other side. I discovered that an organization I had given everything to was not what it appeared to be. And later came the quietest low of all: sitting in a role that looked impressive from the outside, knowing I was there only for the paycheck. The work that had once lit me up had become something I endured.

I know what it costs to keep performing when your heart has gone quiet.

The turning point

Eventually I saw, with complete clarity, that what was driving my decisions was not strategy. It was conditioning: patterns, fears, and beliefs formed long before I ever walked into a boardroom. Once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it. And everything my career had taught me suddenly made sense as preparation.

The fifteen years of rigorous work that followed changed not just how I lead, but who I am. That work became True Self Leadership. It is what I now bring to executives and the organizations that depend on them.

Most of the leaders I work with don’t need more capability. They need access to the leader beneath the performance. That is the work.
